Joanna Groebel is a seasoned Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in the field of mental health and healing for over 20 years. She had worked for over a decade as a therapist in the inpatient, and partial hospitalization units at Tower Health and Haven before going into private practice.

She is certified in the trauma resolution techniques of EMDR and Brainspotting, and is a Reiki Master Teacher. She earned her MA in Creative Arts in Therapy from Drexel University, and her therapeutic work is informed by her extensive studies with pioneers in a wide variety of Somatic Studies, Movement Therapy, Art Therapy, Zen practice and Shamanic work (in Guatemala and Peru).

She specializes in trauma, and offers deeply transformational, creative and supportive therapy that stands alone but can also be powerfully integrative with the somatic work offered at the Restorative Center.
